It is a very long slow windy and picturesque drive through Point Reyes National Seashore to get to lifghthouse but very well worth it. Even the drive to the national seashore area to get to the lighthouse is a long drive from the City by the Bay, but it is so very worth it. If you go, make it a slow leisurely drive. I wouldn't take the coastal drive, as that will make the drive even longer, and if you have a camera, you'd be stopping very often!! Ask me how I know of this!! ;)
