Description
Far behind the Cable Car, you can just about see what would be the entrance to the Hyde Street Pier. Many historic vessels are berthed at its pier berths. From this camera viewpoint, the end of Hyde Street - looking DOWN - are at the bottom of this steep Hyde Street. Can you imagine these cable cars, created in the late 1800s, are using a steel cable under the street, to pull the cable cars AND its passengers up this and many other streets? A little bit of San Francisco's historic past, still working in the 21st Century!! Thu=is is just yet another past memory, remembered on this Day 298 of the international pandemic. Please, stay safe while out and about!
