Description
I don't know why its head is soft-focused. We were outside, and it was windy, but I don't know if it moved its head, or the wind moved its head. But this is the closest I've ever been to a Praying mantis lately! Just another nice memory of this Day 611 of the continuing pandemic. Please stay safe!
"Mantises are an order of insects that contains over 2,400 species in about 460 genera in 33 families. The largest family is the Mantidae. Mantises are distributed worldwide in temperate and tropical habitats. They have triangular heads with bulging eyes supported on flexible necks"
