I can start with "It was a dark and stormy night" to describe the scene, however I cannot as - honestly - it was all but that! The sky was almost clear with lots of blue visible, with a long thin cloud that stretched from left to right on the horizon and centered on where the sun would disappear. It was as if the Sun, Earth, clouds and Nature had read a script on what, how and where this sunset today would occur! After the sun set and the sky was still bathed in a great low orange afterglow, I snapped this image handheld of the South Pierhead Outer Lighthouse in Grand Haven, Michigan, after my lovely wife noted the lights on the pierhead came on just as the sun set! What sights to see on this Day 387 of the continuing pandemic. Stay warm, take care and safe always!!
